Elie Hirschfeld's recent appearance on The Stoler Report coincides with his upcoming NYU symposium. The real estate mogul is continuing to influence the landscape of New York with investments as well as philanthropy. Iconic development projects in his portfolio include The Crowne Plaza, The Manhattan Mall, The Exchange Tower, and the historic Hotel Pennsylvania. Elie Hirschfeld is renowned for his charitable donations, and has long been a patron of children's causes, healthcare, and the arts. He serves on the boards of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Central Park Conservancy, The Rockefeller University Council, and many other esteemed organizations.

Next week, the first annual Elie Hirschfeld Symposium on Child Welfare will take place, on Thursday  January 24th. Held in NYU's Greenberg Lounge at 5pm, distinguished panelists will discuss racial injustice and children's welfare.  Chris Gottlieb will moderate the event, and a reception will follow.
