Scenes of New York City: Elie and Sarah Hirschfeld's Collection

“Celebrate a dynamic and multifaceted New York City with 130 stunning works from artists like Edward Hopper, Jacob Lawrence, Georgia O’Keeffe, Andy Warhol, and more — part of the extraordinary promised gift from philanthropists and art collectors Elie and Sarah Hirschfeld .” The landmark exhibition showcasing Elie Hirschfeld ’s promised gift to the New-York Historical Society is comprised of 130 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. Included in the donation are 113 works by 82 artists not previously represented in the institution’s permanent collection .  Curator Wendy Nālani E.   In a recent   TheRealDeal   newsletter, real estate mogul   Elie Hirschfeld   notes that in order for a New York City property owner to pay property taxes or water bills by mail, they must go through a PO box office address in Newark, NJ. The newsletter author has contacted the Department of Finance in an attempt to find out why this is, and thanked   Elie Hirschfeld   for the insight. The newsletter also articulates potential upcoming political changes for  New York City , as well as updates on commercial and residential real estate closings, and what’s new on the market.
