Elie Hirschfeld Announces Partnership with Walgreens for Vaccine Distribution

In response to recent announcements of the COVID-19 vaccine, Elie Hirschfeldis partnering with Walgreens regarding the US Department of Health and Human Services’ standards required for dispensing the vaccine in retail locations across the country. Due to the HSS’s partnership with Walgreens and CVS, the stores anticipate an increase in customers. The Hirschfeld Properties’ team of mechanical engineers and construction workers is working closely with Walgreens to evaluate and create the necessary standards of air exchange in these facilities. With a goal of three complete fresh air exchanges every hour, the teams are developing improved air conditioning mechanicals, so as to significantly increase air flow in and out of the retail area.

Residents of long-term care facilities will be included in the prioritized groups for initial vaccination. Said HSS Secretary Alex Azar: “Our unprecedented public-private partnership with CVS and Walgreens will provide convenient and free vaccination to residents of nursing homes across America, another historic achievement in our efforts to get a safe and effective vaccine to Americans as fast as possible.” Thanks to the efforts of the Hirschfeld Properties teams, these residents, in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, residential care homes, and adult family homes, will have healthy and safe access to on-site clinic appointments at locations across the country.
