The landmark exhibition showcasing Elie Hirschfeld’s promised gift to the New-York Historical Society is comprised of 130 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. Included in the donation are 113 works by 82 artists not previously represented in the institution’s permanent collection

Curator Wendy Nālani E. Ikemoto, curator of American art, brought an innovative and inclusive approach to “Scenes of New York City.”
